Levan Kharanauli (ლევან ხარანაული. 1963) is an artists who stands firmly on his own heritage, traditions, and the reality around him and his art is something that a Georgian can introduce to the world. His portraits are sacred acts of gratitude for a commitment to shared values. Kharanauli’s favorite subjects to paint are those that can be seen at close distance

Levan Kharanauli graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts in 1986.

He has been participating in group exhibitions since 1983. His solo shows were held in galleries and museums of Georgia and other countries.

Kharanauli also created illustrations for books.

The majority of Levan Kharanauli’s works are held in private collections in Georgia, Italy, Germany, France, Spain and Luxembourg.

Levan Kharanauli lives and works in his native Tianeti.
