CHAGELISHVILI

Gogi Chagelishvili (გოგი ჩაგელიშვილი. 1945) was born in Tbilisi. In 1971 he graduated from Tbilisi State Academy of Arts and since then he actively works across genres and styles, using different media. His inspirations come from nature around him, thus Chagelishvili creates artworks in a variety of genres and styles, including portraits, landscapes, still lives, multi-figure scenes, and abstraction, amongst others.

Gogi Chagelishvili is also the author of several literary works (in 2015, Gogi Chagelishvili became laureate of the literary prize "Saba").

From the 1970s to the present, the artist has had numerous solo exhibitions in Tbilisi and other cities – Moscow, Ankara, Nimes, Düsseldorf, Montreal, Christchurch and New York.
