MAKA BATIASHVILI

Artist in focus – Maka Batiashvili (b.1975) is a Georgian contemporary artist based in Tbilisi. She works in different media mostly painting and graphics. Her inspiration is derived from the moments of mundane reality that usually turn into important visual images. Key concept for Maka is a person surrounded by emotional environment and things, who constantly balances the situation and never crosses the limits. This year Baia Gallery presented Maka Batiashvili for the first time in its space with the exhibition project “Veiled in Fog.”
