#TheStoryBehindtheMurals - Kintsvisi Monastery, a Medieval Georgian Monastery is located on a mountain's forested slope, in the Dzama River Valley, in the Inner Kartli Region of Georgia. The main church of the monastery was built supposedly in early 13th Century CE and is dedicated to Saint Nicholas. Its monumental painting is one of the largest among the Medieval Georgian artistic ensembles. It contains depictions of the famous Queen Tamar, her father George III and her son and successor George IV.
